The plus Minus is similar to Hi-Lo Count System. The difference is that, the Uston gives 2 point card as a 0 count while Hi-Lo gives +1 count. The indexes for this strategy are explained as: chart includes card value and number points. Count your running total by adding or subtracting. Start your count at 0 and your ending count will also end at 0.
Uston Advanced Plus-Minus Card Counting System was complicated but this system is effective in playing Blackjack. His research stands that, the value of the two to the player and the house should be equal. The foundation of this kind of system is simple; players will have to convert the running count over a true count, by using a conversion factor. The conversion factor is to divide the running count by the remaining half deck. Uston recommended to players to memorize the simple plus-minus system, and master it.
Since Uston Advanced plus-Minus Card Counting System is considered as one level count. The good card is given a value of +1 and the bad card has a value of -1. A value of 0 is given to neutral cards. Add +1 every time you see a card from 3 to 7 played and -1 every time ten cards are played or ace. Most counts have an advantage in some situations and disadvantages in others. Remember, all good counts give you a limit over the casino. Take note that true count is important to use in card counting.
